Two quick comments on Stein's proposal:

I thought we had agreed on /usr/share/doc/HOWTO. I believe the "/doc/" should
be in there as that is consistent with existing practices and is what people
are used to at this point. (Actually, many people are used to /usr/doc and
/usr/doc/HOWTO, but a link could go from /usr/doc to /usr/share/doc)

Am I perhaps one of the only ones who likes that fact that most distros
seem to put the HOWTOs out in /usr/doc/HOWTO as *plain text*, with then an
HTML subdirectory?

I often prefer to see the HOWTOs in text.... 

I don't really care about the issue, but just thought it mention.
